WACO, Texas – If something recurs each year for four years, it is definitely a trend, probably a dynasty and maybe more. The University of St. Thomas has ensured that sportsmanship and fair play are part of the Celts' athletic DNA. It's visible to all opponents, particularly those in the RRAC. UST's fellow conference members recognized the dedication again, leading to the Celts' selection as the winner of the 2015-16 RRAC Sportsmanship Award, its fourth consecutive trophy.
On the fields, courses and courts, the University of St. Thomas athletic teams had a good 2015-16 campaign, winning two Red River Athletic Conference Championships. Men's soccer went 8-0 in the RRAC, claiming the regular season title, while the women's golf team won the Conference Tournament. Volleyball and women's soccer both finished second place during the conference regular season and tournaments. Men's golf joined in the fun claiming a tournament title at the University of Houston Victoria Fall Invitational.
Vanguard Preparatory's Connor Caldwell signed with the UST Mens Golf team this spring.
WACO, Texas – In his short career, Andrew Crane of the University of St. Thomas has already established high standards and earned the respect of student-athletes, coaches, and his fellow athletic trainers. Further confirmation came today as Crane was named the 2015-16 recipient of the RRAC Athletic Trainer of the Year Award.
