[Men's Golf] Men's Golf Finishes 12th at NAIA National Tournament

The Celt Men's Golf team fired 307 in the final round of the NAIA National Tournament Friday. Their round was good enough to finish 12^th of 28 teams for the tournament.

The Celt Men's Golf team fired 301 in the third round of the NAIA National Championship. The three round total of 899 was good enough for 11^th place of 28 teams thru 54 holes. Following third round action, the field is cut to 17 teams and the Celts fell well inside that number in their first ever appearance at the national tournament.

The University of St. Thomas athletics department honored its 2012-13 student athletes at its annual athletics banquet at the Jerabeck Athletic Center this past Wednesday night.

Each of St. Thomas's 6 sports gave out team awards and discussed their respective seasons, and UST's 2012-13 senior class was also honored for their contributions both on and off the playing field during their careers as a Celt student-athlete.

In only its second year back in action, the University of St. Thomas men's golf team won the Red River Athletic Conference Tornament on April 30 at Cypresswood Golf Club. With a three-round score of 870, the Celts knocked off ranked teams such as No. 1 Texas Wesleyan University, No. 6 Our Lady of the Lake University and No. 16 Northwood University.

The University of St. Thomas women's basketball team announced the signing of Tori Frederick to a national letter of intent. Frederick is a 5'5" point guard from Magnolia High School.

[Men's Golf] Celts in 8th at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship After Second Round

The Celt Men's Golf team completed play in the second round of the NAIA National Championship today. The tournament is being played at Creekside Country Club in Salem, Oregon and features twenty-eight of the top teams in the country. The Celts struggled in Tuesday's opening round with a 305, but rebounded very well with a 293 in Wednesday's second round. The Celts sit in 8^th place after 36 holes.

The 2013 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships are scheduled to open action Tuesday at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Ore., at 7 a.m. PDT. The 62nd annual event is a 72-hole stroke play tournament that will be played over the course of four days, concluding with the final round on Friday.

[Volleyball] Volleyball Finishes Spring Winning Sand Volleyball Tournament

With first, second, third and fourth place finishes at the 2013 University of St. Thomas Sand Volleyball Tournament, UST Volleyball wrapped up the spring portion of their schedule.

Kirsten Kubicek and Shirley Paul took top nods, beating out teammates Kylah Dias and Regina Trapp, while teammates Kelsey Balderamos and Rebecca Rath finished third and Reagan Creely and Elizabeth Vass finished fourth overall.
